Mary's Genealogy Books

Mary wrote two family history books about the Ward family into which she was born and is a 12th generation member in America.

The Randolph Ward and Persis Sowl Legacy, Volume I, tells the story of the family ancestry from the time of her ancestor's arrival in America - 1620 for George Soule and 1638 for William Ward. These two men formed generation one. Two 8th generation members, Randolph Ward and Persis Sowl, married in 1848 in Middlebury, NY. About 9 years later, the couple and their oldest three sons, Solon, John Marian, and Anson, moved to Montague, Muskegon County, MI. Three additional children were born in Montague: Dennis, Morris, and Mary Lucretia, who was born after the couple's shocking divorce in 1865. The book then follows with what is known about the lives of these children. It also includes known and found information about their descendants as well as the merging lines. The exception is the descendants of Solon Ward and his wife, Eliza Cook, whose stories are told in Volume II of the book

The Randolph Ward and Persis Sowl Legacy, Volume II, continues with the lives of the five children of Eliza Cook and Solon Ward. It also includes the history of the merging lines - the Nichols family, the Stone family (who married into the Ward family twice), and the Mongeau family.

Mary spent several years researching, collaborating with other Ward family members, and writing these books. Included in each volume is the supporting documentation. Each book sells for $14.95 on ebooks. You can link to the sales site through the links below:
